Hope is essential for all of us. Imagine life without hope, it would be tragic. In one way or another one has to cling to a certain hope. Some put their hope in fame, money, power, family, a loved one and so on. Yet in truth to hope in these things is rather hopeless because sooner or later these things will come to an end. Look to Jesus!

The Letter to the Hebrews was written for Christians who were severely suffering to the point that they were contemplating of turning away from Jesus. The writer of Hebrews encouraged them in one of the most comforting truths we will find in Scripture.

Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Before I share what we did during the Family Devotionals, allow me to share a little background. The week before we did this devotional, my husband and I went into prayer and fasting for one week. We fasted on social media and our breakfast. We had a prayer and fasting list for us to specifically pray for. One of the prayer items there was for our family to experience God as a family. God is Love Part 2

For this Family Devotionals, this will require a little more effort and money. We prepared beforehand two sets of gifts for each child. The gift should not be necessarily expensive but something that they would really want to have and they would do anything to have it.
